Biography

Gavin founded the A.S.P.I.R.E Academy in 2002 alongside Junior Kadi. Guiding over 1000 young men into full time education, whilst honing their development as prospective footballers. Through this vehicle Gavin has been able to influence many young people from the local and surrounding boroughs to achieve success in high education, gain professional & semi professional careers, and also some have embarked on working in the youth sector. In 2014 Gavin, launched D.H.F.I.T.C aimed at 5-11 year old children of mixed gender. Participation had soon exceeded all expectation and the project went from strength to strength.

Following a nailbiting end to hes first & only season as a senior manager at Beckenham town, narrowly missing out on promotion by goal difference, Gavin was installed as manager of Dulwich Hamlet FC in July 2009, Gavin has resided over 700 games for the club and handed debuts to over 65 graduates of the ASPIRE Academy over the years. The Football Club’s current Growth on and off the pitch, has been hugely influenced by the efforts of Gavin.

He achieved two promotions for the club, the latter culminating in a play off victory in 2018, the clubs most turbulent period in recent history. Under Gavin’s guidance the club have also lost three play off finals and a play off semi final, reacged the FA Cup First round proper which was televised, and lead the team to a Quarterfinal replay defeat to Macclesfied Town in the FA Trophy, whislt the two clubs had a two divison pyramid gap in Macclesfields favour.
