Elokobi’s football journey began in the youth ranks of Colchester United, an English football club based in Essex. He worked his way up through the club’s youth system and made his first-team debut for Colchester in 2004. In January 2008, George Elokobi made a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves), a prominent club in England’s Football League Championship. During his time at Wolves, he became a regular in the team’s defense and played a significant role in the club’s promotion to the Premier League for the 2009-2010 season.
